Since their first brewery was established in 1637, Gekkeikan has been dedicated to providing great-tasting, good-quality sake to an extensive market. The original Gekkeikan brewery was set up in Fushimi, Kyoto; a convenient location with access to high quality water perfect for sake brewing. As the demand for sake has increased both in Japan and worldwide, so too has Gekkeikan expanded to become one of the most well-known sake brewers in the world.
