The Battista Roasting company was created by a small entrepreneur called Giuseppe Battista, who set up in business in Triggiano, his home town, together with his wife. It was 1940 and his business premises were located in the centre of town, on the main road Michelangelo Buonarroti, which soon became the meeting point for those who could not resist the pleasure of tasting a good coffee.
